Sep 21, 2016 Pass The Pass is the most fundamental bet in craps; almost every player at the table bets on it. If you only understand one bet in craps, it should be this one. The Pass bet is put on the the pass line itself on a come out roll. The pass line and don’t pass wagers are the most commonly placed bets in craps and also the most straightforward. A shooter will usually have to place one of them before making their come-out roll; and in some casinos, players must make one of them if they also want to place other wagers. The Pass Line is the most popular casino craps strategy. It gives a low house edge of 1.41% though this declines as the odds change. Usually, the house edge stands at 0.8% in single odds, 0.6% in 2x odds, 0.4% in 3x, 4x, 5x odds, 0,3% in 5x odds, 0,2% in 10x and 0.02 for casinos that offer 100x odds. The pass line bet is the most common wager used in the game of craps. This is considered a line bet because there is a large line area on the table layout where you can place your chips. The bet itself is simple, you are essentially wagering that the shooter will roll a 7 or 11 on the come out roll to win. A craps game starts with a come out roll. The player making this roll must make a bet that meets the table minimum on either the pass line or don’t pass. The stickman pushes the dice to this player and there is a roll. The dice must hit the back wall to count.

The pass line bet is the most common wager used in the game of craps. This is considered a line bet because there is a large line area on the table layout where you can place your chips. The bet itself is simple, you are essentially wagering that the shooter will roll a 7 or 11 on the come out roll to win. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12 (which are craps numbers), then the player loses the bet.

If the dice lands on a point number such as 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, then that number will be established as the point number. If you have wagered on the pass line, then the shooter must roll that same point number before rolling a 7 in order to win the bet. Remember, the seven is the most probable number to roll out of all the others. You basically have the advantage on the come out roll and the disadvantage if you have to roll the point later on in the round.

Winnings are paid out 1 to 1, so these are even odds. The actual odds are 251:244 of winning this bet and this is almost even by itself. Because of this, the house edge is only a small 1.41%, making this one of the best bets in the game and in the house.
