The Oregon Lottery has remained adamant that its online sportsbook will revolve around professional sports only. Its lines, for the time being, do not include NCAA sports.

Virtual sports betting in Oregon
During an Oregon State Lottery Commission meeting June 26, committee members discussed the possibility integrating online virtual sports betting to its catalog.
As it stands, only New Jersey offers such a product.
The Oregon Lottery’s sports betting tech provider, SBTech, already has agreements with several virtual sports providers: Golden Race, Inspired Entertainment and Leap Gaming.
Such a suggestion emerged as the lottery seeks ways to maintain engagement with Oregon residents. A temporary administrative order from the lottery outlined how virtual sports would be key to accomplishing that feat.
With handle clocking in at $4.4 million, resulting in a mere $383,000 in revenue, April 2020 stood as the worst month in that category for the Scoreboard app since launching in fall 2019.
With virtual sports, users would have the ability to wager on simulated sports contests. The results of these events are dictated by random number generators that assign odds throughout the contest.
Virtual sports include basketball, football, soccer, horse racing and car racing.
Retail sports betting in Oregon
Interestingly, the Oregon Lottery was not first to the sports betting scene in its state.
That honor went to Chinook Winds Casino Resort, a tribal-owned casino located in the coastal town of Lincoln City. By Halloween, that retail crowd grew to two sportsbooks, as The Mill Casino & Hotel in North Bend, also on the coast, debuted self-service kiosks.
Several other tribal-owned casinos have expressed interest in opening retail sportsbooks, though the state still only features one brick-and-mortar.
Other properties that could potentially join Chinook Winds in the sports betting world include:
